Spring 2025 CHEM 1312 SI ADDISON ANDERSON

Welcome

My name is Addison Anderson; I am a Senior Nursing Major and Biochemistry Major. I will be your Spring 2025 General Chemistry II Supplemental Instructor. I will host weekly tutoring sessions and a test prep session before every test. I have seven years of chemistry experience and am very capable of acting as a way to help boost your grade for the class.

Some general information about me is that I love to cook, hike, exercise, travel, and go on road trips. I am also getting into rock climbing and bouldering. I am an avid runner, running my first marathon in February. I am involved in chemistry research (Dr. Srinivasan's Microplastic Removal from Human Blood), SRA, RL, SNA, Sigma Xi, Chem Club. I also a mentor apart of Big Brothers and Big Sisters, where I am a big to two little brothers, in 4th grade and 6th grade.

I know a lot of y'all in the course have some pre-professional degree trying to get into Graduate school, medical school, Dental, etc. I am a Nurse Tech at BSW Irving in their Emergency Department as a Preceptor and have shadowed in the Surgical Ward (Cath Lab & GI Lab) and congestive Heart Failure Clinic. If you ever need insight into what the medical field is like or want to hear about some experiences I had, I am more than happy to share if it makes you make a better decision on your degree. As a Nursing Major, I will also have clinical experience to share with y'all.
